Your Miracle Inventory

Recently, I’ve been on a mission to collect miracles — miracles of my own and stories of other peoples’ miracles. It’s been a wildly fun and meaningful process to wake up each day with a determination to find miracles.

My experience is that where you look for evidence, you’ll find it. And that’s been the case! Miracles are, indeed, everywhere — and happening all of the time.

The Oxford Dictionary defines a miracle as: “a highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that brings very welcome consequences.”

There is something so uplifting and invigorating about experiencing the seemingly impossible, isn’t there? For me, it gives me a delightful, elevated feeling inside where I feel lightness and calm. There’s a sense of “it’s all good.”

Some miracles might feel small and others might feel huge.

Miracles might look like… (these are real examples of people I work with or know in the last couple months):

A friend calling after you’ve been thinking about them for a full week.

A surprise, all-expense paid trip to Hawaii.

Craving a specific lunch and showing up to a meeting where that exact lunch
is being served.
An unexpected raise at work.
The opportunity to shadow their hero for a day.
Getting free office space for a year.
Being gifted a gift-card for two massages at a luxurious spa.
Being upgraded to first class on a long flight.
Waking up to perfect weather for your kiddo’s outdoor birthday party.
The person ahead of you at the coffee shop paying for your order anonymously.
